toon is a collage and assemblage artist who makes and shows her work in the new york city area and beyond. as founder and editor, she coordinates the aesthetic mojo for monkey, an online creative assembly featuring photography, collage, drawing, sculpture, painting, graffiti, and literary works [www.monkeysalon.com]. toon's collage work appears in the critically acclaimed lunchbox recordings debut cd release, stories to play, where she doubled as art director.
she creates text and design for the lunchbox recordings website [www.lunchboxrecordings.com], which regularly features her artwork.
toon is also a music producer and one half of the mix | cutandpaste | production duo known as feng shui. feng shui's sold out mix cd, slow motion engineer, was recently selected to be among the first releases from worldwide dj artist series bits to atoms, and is now available in numbered, limited edition from slought networks [www.slought.net/music/bits/]. feng shui is currently remixing songs for a label based in the netherlands, and is deep into the next snak pak mix extravaganza, optional overeasy.
toon is quite fond of the colour blue and all its variations, green tea [hot and cold], amsterdam, books, primates, analogue foot pedals, snow, mummies, and all means and modes of travel.
